Ensuring safety for all involved.

At Lindum Safety Services, we work hard to ensure employees, visitors and the public are safe, while also providing protection against liability claims. Our in-house team provide guidance on current legislation and provide information on changes and new 'best practices’. Health and Safety can be a potential minefield, with many companies still using out of date practices and insufficiently trained staff.

Instances like these can lead to serious consequences, accidents could lead to serious fines and even imprisonment. Directors bear the brunt of most legal actions as they hold overall responsibility. Accidents can also lead to serious loss of reputation and professional standing within its industry. From environment safety to fire safety in London, Sidcup, UK or Europe, we can do it all!

Lindum Safety Services are here to help with any Health and Safety matter.

As part of our role we:

Lindum Safety provide quality professionals who are able to conduct and deliver the following services to your organisation. In many cases, a full survey will identify any concerns, with corrective action being very simple and cost effective:
  • Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Surveys and Audits
  • Comprehensive Occupational Health & Safety Risk Assessments services
  • Fire Surveys, Audits and Risk Assessments
  • Independent Auditors
  • Policy Creation, Co-creation and health check
  • Information Update Service (news letters on best practice and legislation changes and case studies)

Our work takes us from construction sites to remote rural locations where environmental protection is key to sustaining business. We cover short, mid and long term projects, ad-hoc projects that may require just a day’s work and retainer contracts providing advice, information and a continual monitoring process. Furthermore, Health, Safety and Environmental solutions will ensure that your business operates within the legal requirements of the law and will demonstrate compliance of the corporate and social responsibilities placed on businesses today. You can depend on our experts in environment safety in Birmingham, London and Europe to provide exceptional solutions.

Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Surveys and Audits
Audits can be used as an independant quality assurance measure for contractual purposes or as part of the monitoring process assisting towards International Standards Organisation (ISO) certification. They can also be used to highlight any areas where there are shortfalls in a particular area of Health and Safety. It will provide the Management with an insight into which areas are effecting business and any outstanding legal requirements.
We will implement statutory requirements and ensure legal obligations are met. The survey can also assist the quality management systems and help towards gaining ISOs.
The Audit is designed to confirm that current measures, systems and procedures in place are working correctly as they were intended to do so. Staff are aware of their obligations, following the correct safety policies and working safely.
Comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety Risk Assessments Services

Not only are we specialists within the environment safety in Birmingham sector but we can also assist with creating (or co-creation) of comprehensive Risk Assessments across Birmingham and to the rest of the UK. These can be in the form of stand-alone documents or Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS). Risk Assessments will ensure that all occupational work activities, including off site work, are assessed correctly and provide employees and employers with safe working practices.

Fire Survey, Audits and Risk Assessments
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, and the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 and the associated Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006 applies to all non-domestic premises in England, Wales and Scotland, including the common parts of blocks of flats and houses in multiple occupation (HMOs). These laws apply to you if you are:
• Responsible for business premises.
• An employer or self-employed with business premises.
• Responsible for a part of a dwelling where that part is solely used for business purposes.
• A charity or voluntary organisation.
• A contractor with a degree of control over any premises.
• Providing accommodation for paying guests.
Under The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, and the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 and the associated Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006, the responsible person must carry out a fire safety risk assessment and implement and maintain a fire management plan.
PAS 79 can also be produced as part of this service.
Independent Auditors

Being specialists within the trade, we are able to provide auditors to some of the most respected communications companies in the world. The in-house team regularly conduct independent audits on both urban and remote rural communications sites across UK. External audits assist with the Quality and Safety systems in place and provide impartial reports and advice on the current working practices, employee welfare, quality and safety and integrated management systems.

You can put your faith in our team to take care of any independent auditors or fire safety in Cardiff, London, UK or Europe requirements that you might need.

Policy Creation, Co-creation and Health Check
At Lindum Safety Services, we can create, or better co-create, policies that ensure compliance with current legislation. The policies would be bespoke, created for your company’s service/product. Having an active part in the policy creation (co-creation) can help induce/increase a positive HSE culture using effective communication from the management down. All employers who employ 5 or more employees are required by law to have a policy statement.
Section 2(3) of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 (HSW Act) states:
“Except in such cases as may be prescribed, it shall be the duty of every employer to prepare and as often as may be appropriate revise a written statement of his general policy with respect to the health and safety at work of his employees and the organisation and arrangements for the time being in force for carrying out that policy, and to bring the statement and any revision of it to the notice of all his employees.”
Information Update Service

As experts within the industry, we have standards in place that regularly check for updates and the latest best practice changes, guidance and advisory information/fact sheets. While working for a client this forms part of the service. Our professionals in health and fire safety in London pass on the information in the form a fact sheet to the client and if, for example, there is no HSE manager in a company we can incorporate these changes in to the companies' policies and documentation as required.
